  1. 1. Check is the server is up Before performing any troubleshooting steps, it's worth checking the current status of the Lirium2 metin server that you are trying to connect to. 2. Syncing windows clock If your Windows clock is out of sync with real time, it will not provide our server with correctly timestamped certificates. This could affect connectivity to the Lirium2 metin. In order to avoid those issues, please follow the solutions shown below: Syncing your clock manually a.) Right-click on your computer's clock and choose Adjust Date/Time b.) Select the Internet Time tab, and click the Change Settings button c.) At this point you may receive a UAC prompt. After this prompt, click the Update now button to resync If the above steps didn't work, please try the following instead: a.) Press [Window Key]+R b.) Type cmd c.) Press OK Type the following command: net start w32time d.) This will start the time sync service if it is currently not active. e.) Press Enter Type the following command: w32tm /resync f.) This will resync your clock. If it fails you may manually have to set your time and date. g.) Press Enter 3. Microsoft support Microsoft has a "fixit" file that can be used to automatically resolve issues with Internet Explorer and Windows registry. Using updated security protocols You may also be unable to connect through the game client if your system is configured to access the internet using SSL 2.0 or SSL 3.0 primarily. Some ISPs block third-party DNS servers. If you lose internet access after changing your DNS settings, you will need to revert your original settings. Client and Patcher issues The patcher downloads a large number of files to your computer, which can be misidentified as a threat by your Firewall. Update your Firewall and Lirium2.exe and Patcher.exe to Firewall exceptions, otherwise you will need to temporarily disable your Firewall. Disable or turn off Third Party Firewalls Unfortuantely, we cannot provide specific instructions for each firewall as many variations exist, but most firewalls allow themselves to be temporarily disabled by right clicking on their icon in the Windows tool bar (bottom right of the screen) and selecting appropriate option. a.) Click on Start b.) Click on Control Panel c.) Click on System and Security d.) Click on Windows Firewall e.) Click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off (you might need to provide the Administrator password at this step) f.) Under each Network location, select the Turn off Windows Firewall option Client You maybe cannot start the game because of your Antivirus, there is more problem with basic antivirus in your computer called Windows Defender Windows 10 a.) Click on Start b.) On the left side bar click Settings c.) Click Windows update and Security d.) Click on Windows Security e.) Click on Open centrum security in Windows Defender f.) Click on the left side bar Protecting from Viruses g.) Click on Settings for protection from viruses h.) Scroll down and find Exceptions i.) Click on Add or Remove exceptions j.) Add file exception k.) Close the settings If it is needed, you need to turn off your Windows Defender, or any antivirus you using. 7. Manually Install . NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 Manually install .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5: .NET FRAMEWORK is a software library developed by Microsoft that runs primarily on Microsoft Windows. One of the dependencies of Lirium2 Metin is the .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5. Even if you have 4.0, you may need to also have the 3.5 version installed to properly play Lirium2 Metin.
